CHRIST-mas

Good morning, my friends!  I hope things are going well for you this morning. 

I know this time of year it's really easy to get swept up into the hurry and flurry and the craziness of buying that last gift or the mountain of gifts that need to be wrapped still.  But I'd just like to encourage you all to take a deep breath and remember the reason we celebrate this season.  It's not to go into debt buying things for others, it's to celebrate the birth of our Saviour!

That first Christmas no one had gifts wrapped in shiny paper with beautiful bows.  The first and perfect gift was wrapped in grave clothes and laid down in a manger to sleep.  As a mom myself I can only imagine how hard it was to have that be your baby's first bed, but as a sinner, I'm so grateful that is how God chose to come into this world.  Such a humble setting proving that ANYONE can come to Jesus.

So, my friends I wish you all a Merry CHRISTmas.  I hope your day is wonderful, and remember, it will all get done =).  And if it doesn't who besides you will know? =)
