Sweet Sound

Last night Firecracker was in taking a shower.  As I was standing near the bathroom I could hear him singing, "Lord, I lift your name on high!  Lord, I love to sing your praises.  I'm so glad you're in my life.  I'm so glad you came to save us!  You came from Heaven to Earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross my debt to pay, from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky, Lord I lift your name on high!"

Hearing Firecracker singing his little heart out to the Lord just made my heart burst with happiness!  He loves his Jesus!  I hope Firecracker keeps this love for his Savior throughout his whole life.

Have a great weekend!

BIG Changes

Most of you know that I am a stay at home mom.  I love it!  My babies are my job.  Sure the monetary pay isn't much, but I get paid in hugs, kisses and silly giggles.  Those are worth so much more than money.

Well, in my life before parenthood, I was a teacher.  I enjoyed it, but nothing like I enjoy my mommyhood.  Anyway, this school year I started out volunteering a few times a week in different classrooms at Firecracker's school.  That turned into, "hey, we know you used to be a teacher, and someone called out sick, could you sub today?"  Which then turned into, "we could really use you as a sub 2 full days a week."

Now the grand finale, the school had 2 teachers quit last week.  Yes, 2 teachers!  So you wanna guess who, starting today, is going to be filling one of those spots for the rest of the school year?  You guessed it ME! (Yeah, apparently I'm WAY to big a push over)

I've got mixed emotions about this, because I've grown to love the kids in the class I'm taking over.  However, I hate that I'm not going to be with Sweet pea all day.  I'll still get to be near Firecracker, and I'll get done with work when he's done with school (a perk of being a teacher for sure).  But it won't be the same.

Not to mention I'm a nervous wreck!  I haven't worked full time in 5 years!  Wholly cow! There are 12 weeks til the end of the school year, I can do almost anything for 12 weeks right? ;) Pray for me this is going to be quite a big change.

Have a great day!
