5 Question Friday!

Good Morning all!  It's Friday!  I'm excited about this weekend. No reason in particular, I just enjoy spending time with my family uninterrupted by work! =)

Once again a big thanks to Mama M. for letting us link up!  Now, on with the fun!

1. Do you have a go to song that always puts you in a good mood?

Not really, although, “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” or “Santa Baby”  would probably be the ones I’d choose if I had to pick one.

2. Are you a real Christmas tree kinda person or do you go with a real fake one?

Fake all the way, baby!  You have to remember to water real ones so the lights don’t accidentally catch them on fire, and I can’t be trusted to do that.  Plus, real ones make such a mess!  Especially towards the end of the season (or you forget to water them) and then you have to vacuum like every day.  I have enough to do daily, thank you!
I will say that real ones smell nicer……

3. What are you thankful for?

Oh my, do we have all day?  No, ok then we’ll stick with the basics- in no particular order.  My salvation through Jesus alone! My God that cares enough to meet my daily needs, and hear and answer my daily prayers, my babies, my Hubs, my family- in laws included =), my house- even though it doesn’t ever seem to stay clean, running water, air conditioning, vehicles we can depend on.  My list could keep going, but for sake of time we’ll stop here.

4. Which fashion fad from the past do you wish you could wear today?

Ummm…. I’m not really a fashion person past or present.  It takes way too much time and moola and then it just changes again in like a month.  I don’t have that much time or energy or money to keep up with it.  So I’d say,  ummm…. I don’t know.  I can say I’m glad that the whole leg warmers and head bands and well pretty much the whole 80’s look is out =).

5. Do you wait until the "low fuel" light comes on before you fill up the gas tank?
Yeppers.  Even better if the Hubs is in the car! =) Just kidding, I do fill it up on my own, but it is a running joke that I run the car til it’s empty and then ask him to drive it somewhere.  Hahaha =)
Hope you all have a splendid weekend!!

Ms. T

1. Do you have a go to song that always puts you in a good mood?

I am a huge music fan, so there is no ONE song that puts me in a good mood.  Music in general puts me in a good mood.  So I could list probably 100 songs that I like to listen to when grumpy!  The mood depends the genre I turn to, but not the actual song.

2. Are you a real Christmas tree kinda person or do you go with a real fake one?

Real!!!  It is a tradition that we started when The Boy was about 2 years old.  We go to a Christmas tree farm, let the kids pick the tree (with mom's approval, of course), and then they help Daddy cut it down.  It was something we always did when I was growing up, and I wanted my kids to have the same great memories about Christmas Tree hunting.

3. What are you thankful for?

I also have a very long list that closely matches Ms. T's.  I will add that I am thankful for my dear, dear friends.  I don't know what I would do without my support group that makes me laugh when I want to cry.  I am also super thankful for answered prayers.  And miracles.  And chocolate.  KitKats.  The End. (Okay, not really, but you don't have time to read all day.)

4. Which fashion fad from the past do you wish you could wear today?

Well, hmmm... I actually wear leg warmers, Ms. T.  Thankyouverymuch. Of course, I wear them tucked inside my boots, so they look more like boot-socks, but they are legwarmers.  If I could wear one past fashion look, it would definitely be 50's inspired.  Like this:
Can't you see me vacuuming in this???
5. Do you wait until the "low fuel" light comes on before you fill up the gas tank?

Ok, this question is just silly.  Does anyone actually fill up the tank?  And are there actual people that put gas in before the light comes on?  That's just crazy.  Of course I wait until the light is on.  I think it's in the manual that you are supposed to.   I am a rule follower, people.  And I only fill up the tank if I am taking a trip.  Otherwise, it hurts too much to spend that much money at once.

Have a Happy Weekend!

  1. I love a real tree but you are so right about how much work they are. My hubby would say I do the same thing when it comes to filling up, he thinks I leave it on empty on purpose, but really I just don't pay enough attention :)
Happy Friday, hope your weekend is a great one!

  3. I love all Christmas trees...real and fake. I love music...lots of songs! And...for the record, everyone knows that I DON'T fill up the tank AT ALL unless absolutely no one else is around to do it!!! In many years of driving, I may have put gas in the car somewhere between 10 and 15 times...so, how close to empty...probably really close because I was hoping someone else would show up!!!
