Losing a Tooth

Last week Firecracker lost his very first tooth!  It was amazing!  He didn't even know it was loose.  All the sudden after bath time he came to me and asked me for a tooth flosser, because his tooth felt weird.  When I looked in his mouth the tooth was gone!  

We went back to Firecracker's room and found the  tooth lying on the floor.  He was so excited all night.  Firecracker just kept saying how big he was and how great it was.  And when I gave him .50 for his tooth he was ecstatic!!

Because of Who I Am

The other day I was browsing Pinterest and I saw this pin:

 Sadly, this is my life.  It's gotten so bad that the other night I was meeting my bestie, Ms. L, and I was running late (shocker) and sent her a quick text that said "running late on my way".  Yes, that's how sad it is.  I have a quick text that says that!

B.K. (before kids), I was almost never late. I aimed for being early.  My Daddy's motto is "never be later than 10 minutes early".  

 Then the kids came along and something in my brain disconnected and time gets sucked away.  Now, being late happens 92 times more than being on time and forget about being early. UGH!

I really do try.  I do! So, if we have plans tell me the time to meet is 10 minutes or so earlier than you truly want to meet.  That way I'll be on time!  And if you choose not to do that, then I'm sorry in advance.

Additions to the Kid Dictionary

Pop rockets- a candy that fizzles in your mouth.
Usage: "Sissy! stop eating my pop rockets!" 
Firecracker 

Hi doctor- a doctor that looks into your eyes.
Usage: "Brother has to go to the Hi doctor today."
Sweet pea 

Candy can- peppermint treat usually consumed at Christmas time.
Usage: "Mommy, may I eat my candy can?"

Warmart- an apt description of Walmart
Usage: "Mommy, when are we going to Warmart?"

Pickuping- Hiccuping
 Usage: "Mommy, I can't stop pickuping!"

Shoe Tying

Firecracker learned how to tie his shoes last week!!  It's such a huge step for little people.  I'm so proud of him.  You should have seen the proud look on his face the first time he was successful.  It was so awesome :).

I love seeing all the firsts for my little people.  They get so excited and it's awesome to see something that I've done 234,534 times through eyes that have only seen it for the first time.  It brings a sense of pride and wonder back.

Firecracker's Birthday

Happy Birthday (a day yearly) to my favorite little boy in the whole world!

God has blessed the Hubs and I with the most amazing, hyper, loving, sweet, adorable, trouble making little boy in the whole wide world!  If you've never had the pleasure of meeting Firecracker I'm sorry for your loss.  He is totally awesome. 

Happy Birthday, baby boy!  You're 6 (tomorrow)!! How is that possible?  Wasn't it yesterday that I brought you home from the hospital?

Best Way to Get Free Junk

 I know you're all thinking, "Ms. T, I've always wanted free junk to clutter up my house with.  Please, tell me how I can get it!"

Well, let me share the secret with you my friends!  Take an adorable 3 year old to garage sales!  The little one will charm the pants off of the sellers.  And the sellers want to do something for her.  Therefore, you come home with a bunch of free junk that a few days later you have to be sneaky about getting rid of the stuff.  And now you know my secret.

Silly Strangers

Just so you know my kids call anyone they do not know their name "stranger".

 
The other night we were driving home from church and we passed a house that had white icicle lights up around their pool area.  Sweet pea noticed and said, "Mommy! those strangers think it's still Christmas!  Silly strangers, it's not Christmas.  You should take your lights down."

I nearly burst out laughing!
