Ummm

Do you ever get into the middle of a thought and forget what you were saying?  I do that all the time!  I swear it's worse than forgetting what you were going to say to begin with.  At least if you forget it all together at the beginning you don't have to ask the person you were speaking to to remind you of what you were saying.  That's pretty embarrassing.

My good friends can attest that I do this constantly.  I really can't tell you what it is that makes me lose what I was saying.  Maybe it's the pretty shiny thing I see in the corner, maybe it's trying to think of the next thing I plan on saying, maybe I have half brain amnesia.  I don't know.

Here's hoping you have a day where you can remember exactly what you were trying to say!

Basketball

One of the hats that I wear at Firecracker's school is that of J.V. Girl's basketball coach.  This is my second year coaching this team and I enjoy it. The girls are noobies in the strongest sense of the word.  They are also so sweet and ready to learn.

Last night was our first game of our small season.  And we were beaten.  Badly.  However, because the other team was exceptionally merciful we did not lose as badly as we could have.  Today we have practice.  Let's just say we won't be getting bored at practice anytime soon.  Too much to learn!

I love my girls.  They make it fun again (something I wasn't sure girls basketball could be for me ever again).  Ready or not here we go!!

Have a great day!

Work

I have been working a few days a week at Firecracker's school.  Last week for several different reasons the school needed me to come in quite a bit more.  I actually ended up there every day last week.

I enjoyed working at the school, but one thing last week has taught me is that I'm NOT ready to leave Sweet pea and go back to work full time.  Poor baby missed me too.  I'm happy hanging with my babes right now.  In a year or two I'll be ready to get back to work... For now I'm happy being a Mama.

Have a great day!

I Can't Brain Today

Lately, I feel like I've done nothing but stupid, stupid stuff.  I've forgotten significant things, I've broken things (unfortunately expensive things), lost things etc.  I just feel like the stupidy stupid captain of stupidville.

Anyway, I saw this pin on pinterest and felt it completely right for my current circumstances.
I cannot brain today.  I has the dumb.

Hopefully, this stage will pass soon!!

Have a great day!

Craziness

Life in my house right now is.... ummmm.... interesting.  The Hubs and my FIL are working in Firecracker's room building in a second closet for Sweet Pea.  Because of the construction we had to empty Firecracker's room.  All of his furniture has been moved into my dining room, which means the dining room is out of commission.

Also, Firecracker still needs to sleep somewhere so the Hubs pulled 3 twin mattresses from different places in the house and put them in the living room so that Firecracker, Sweet pea and he could sleep on them.  (Can't let Firecracker have "camp out" for a week and not let Sweet Pea).  So, not only is my dining room out of commission, my living room floor is completely covered in mattresses.

I'm not complaining, because I'm excited about the new closet.  However, my house looks like a tornado has come through it.  So, none of you are invited to my house right now. =)

Have a Happy New Year!

Holiday Hangover

About this time of year I suffer a major holiday hangover.  From mid October all the way through the end of the year we have some kind of holiday-ish activity planned.  It's always super fun.  There is something to look forward to around every bend.  Therefore, when the first of the year rolls around I'm wiped out, and a little sad.

I'm not sad because I had a bad Christmas, Birthday or New years or anything like that. Quite the opposite.  I LOVE the holidays.  When the first of November rolls around I'm chomping at the bit to put the Christmas decorations out.  (However, I've been trained from a young age the Christmas decor doesn't go up a day before Thanksgiving.)  I revel in the Christmas season.  I love the weather, the joy, the reason we celebrate, I love the music, the decorations, how sweet people are during this time of year etc.

When it's time to box up the Christmas decorations I get a little sad.  It's like I'm saying good bye to a good friend.  A friend I won't be able to see again for 11 months.  And now you understand what a holiday hangover is  ;).

Have a great New Year!
